Arriving at halls

What you need to do when you arrive at halls.

Complete your induction

Ahead of arriving at Halls you'll receive an email giving you access to our induction which covers everything you'll need to know before you get here.

If you haven’t activated your account you will need to do that first.

Check your room

When you arrive, you’ll need to:

  • Check the inventory list in your room, and ask reception if you haven’t been given one.
  • Fill out the list with any missing or damaged items in your room and return it to reception within 48 hours of arrival.
  • Log any maintenance issues on the Buildings Maintenance System. There will be more information about this in your room when you arrive.

If you live at Denmark Road, Kincardine Court, Park View,  Piccadilly Point, Square Gardens, Weston, Daisy Bank Hall, Manchester Gardens, Rusholme Place or Victoria Point, separate maintenance arrangements are in place, and you will receive more information when you arrive.

Parking

Car parking in halls is limited, and drop-off is restricted to 30 minutes. After this time you'll need to move to the long-stay car parks. You'll also need to pop your mobile number in your car window so we can contact you if needed.
